You know the world counts on Japan to come up with the most ingenious ideas, and once again, the Land of the Rising Sun has lived up to its reputation by introducing a star-studded team of ambassadors for the 2020 Olympics; one that we’re probably all familiar with.
The games may be two years away, but Japan has already built up all this anticipation by unveiling Son Goku of Dragonball Z alongside other iconic anime favourites including Shin Chan, Luffy from One Piece, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Astroboy and more.
Needless to say, the official merchandise is going to be out of this world! According to the organizers, the use of these popular animated characters as ambassadors was done to draw the attention of the younger generation and for Japan to promote its rich influence on modern pop culture.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics is slated to kick off on July 24 until August 9 2020. Uhh, anyone heading there? Can we place orders? 😛
