We’re often dubbed the wanderlust generation. Unlike the time-strapped Generation X who often have career and family demands tying them down, we push boundaries, map out our own itineraries, and transition to becoming digital nomads if and when there is a need.
As an added bonus for wanderlusters residing in Malaysia, it turns out that we have the cheapest flights in the world when measured per 100km, according to Kiwi.com’s 2017 Flight Price Index. With an average of $4.18 per 100 kilometres, Malaysia tops the chart, with Bulgaria coming in second place ($4.65 per 100km) and India coming in third ($4.96 per 100km).
Kiwi.com analysed over a million flights for the rankings, including the average price of short-haul and long-haul flights on low cost and full service airlines for each country. All flights were also checked for the same dates of travel, with high and low seasons taken into account.
Guess this is all the more reason for us to book that next flight then! 😀
