Pilots and other flying experts all claim that flight turbulence is extremely normal, and that there is nothing to be concerned about. Yet, many of us still freak out when experiencing turbulence on a plane, especially when it gets severe and you can’t in control of your life at that very moment.
Well, there is something quick and highly effective you can do, and that is to write your name over and over, using your non-dominant hand. This works because it sidetracks the brain from highlighting perceived danger as it shifts its focus to concentrate on the task (writing the name) instead.
The people at The Today Show also experimented with the hack, and it apparently really does work! Whether you’re afraid of flying or not, it’s a great tip to keep in mind for all your travels. 😉
