Yesterday, Fox has released the final trailer for Logan, which sees Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as a world-weary Wolverine who helps out a young female mutant on the run, giving fans a deeper look into the relationship between the title mutant and Dafne Keen’s X-23.
In the near future, an older, grayer Jackman who is hiding out in Mexico border with Patrick Stewart’s ailing Charles Xavier (a.k.a. Professor X) meets the adolescent Laura who has plenty of power, and becomes part of his life as she’s being pursued by dark forces. She’s played by Dafne Keen, first seen in a convenience store with Jim Croce’s “I Got a Name” playing in the background.
The trailer is packed with plenty of fight scenes as Laura and Wolverine confront their relentless pursuers and begin to bond. With abilities very similar to Wolverine’s, newcomer X-23 proves she’s got some bite behind her innocent face but still needs Logan’s help to fight off mercenaries on her trail. “She’s like you — very much like you,” Stewart observes wryly.
In a fun moment, we see that X-Men comics actually exist in this version of the world, but skew the truth behind the real group’s adventures a bit. “Maybe a quarter of it happened, but not like this,” explains Wolverine. “In the real world, people die.”

The film also stars Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez alongside the Wolverine.
Logan hits theaters on March 3. Don’t miss out!
