In partnership with Malaysia Airlines, China’s Spring Airlines will begin flying to Shenzhen from the Senai International Airport (LTAS) starting January 13. The charter service is scheduled for Mondays and Fridays as of now.
The Shenzhen-Johor Baru route will be the second flight linking Johor with China as in May last year, AirAsia launched its Johor Baru-Guangzhou route.
Meanwhile, AirAsia is to start its Johor Baru-Jakarta flights on January 12, flying thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The new aforementioned flights linking Johor Baru to Shenzhen and Jakarta are timely as China and Indonesia are amongst the three major markets for Johor’s tourism sector.
LTAS will continue to strive to develop Johor Baru as an imperative southern peninsular aviation hub.
