Last week, we had the golden opportunity to meet with Professional Motorsport Star, Earl Bamber who hosted a workout takeover session at CHi Fitness at Bangsar Shopping Centre, BSC. It was truly an honour as Earl has participated in an impressive number of world championships such as The New Zealand Grand Prix, Formula BMW Asia, as well as his most recent win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, an automobile endurance event held at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France.
The New Zealand born world class racing driver was exclusively invited to conduct the first instalment of workout takeover series by CHi Fitness, who offers an enjoyable workout space with its state of the art equipment, world class technology and award-winning facilities. (Despite being called Chi, no, we did not learn Tai Chi at the gym. It’s actually the initials for Clark Hatch International Fitness.
CHi Fitness is the first in the country to offer a group class for Total Body Exercise (TRX), a workout style developed by the US Navy SEALs, which uses rope or nylon strap to fully strengthen and stabilise the body’s core muscles, where the intensity of the workout is determined by each person’s body weight.
Guests were put through a gruelling hour long workout session conducted by Earl Bamber and Rodney Fernandez which involved warm up mobility and body weight exercises, core and strength exercises with TRX, neck and body weight exercise as well as stretch module with TRX.
