In conjunction with World Mental Health Day 2016, here’s a quick and way to calm your nerves within minutes. Take note for the next time you experience that familiar stomach-churning feeling, clammy palms, or you can’t stop pacing around.
All you have to do is find a private space that’s big enough for you to move about comfortably. It could be an empty conference room, a bathroom stall, closet and so on.
Just start moving, whether it’s flailing your arms in the air or hopping in place. Just find a way to shake things out physically.
The sudden burst of movement jostles the lymphatic fluid, resets the nervous system and gets feel-good endorphins pumping to ease tension from the body.
With that said, we’d like to call out to those of you who have struggled or are struggling with mental health issues. Hang in there, you’ll be alright. We’re sending love and lots of hugs to you!
