IKEA has officially introduced its 2017 IKEA catalogue to Malaysia and it showcases a whole new array of products, food and services highlighting Democratic Design, a concept that originates from the IKEA perspective that everyone deserves the right to a better everyday life.
As smaller homes have become more popular in city centres, practicality and flexibility take centrestage for IKEA’s new offerings. The five principles of Democratic Design that have driven the creation of IKEA’s products include form, function, quality, low price and sustainability, catering to the evolution of the needs of Malaysian home owners.
Every IKEA product features elements of Democratic Design and takes into consideration the impact on people’s lives, the society and most importantly, the environment. For instance, the elements can be found in the transportation of the products, how IKEA packs its products, the food served, and its business model.
Amongst some of IKEA’s latest offerings include new, healthier dishes such as the veggie balls, frozen yogurt and Nordic water, exciting products like the SLADDA bicycle and the POÄNG 40th anniversary armchair, as well as new IKEA’s personal shopper with delivery service coming soon in 2017.
If you haven’t gotten your hands on the IKEA 2017 catalogue, you may do so at the IKEA Damansara or IKEA Cheras stores. Alternatively, view the IKEA catalogue online.
