Following the recent incidents involving explosions of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has announced a worldwide recall of the devices and has since begun replacing the Galaxy Note 7 with a new battery according to manufacturing standard.
To help users ensure that they have a new device and be rest assured that their new Galaxy Note 7 device is safe, Samsung has introduced a Green battery icon that’s been included in three software changes. The green battery icon will be visible on the Status Bar, the Always On Display screen, and the Power Off prompt screen after software update.
On top of that, users can verify if they are using the new Galaxy Note 7 by looking for a square symbol on the label of the packaging box. With that said, Samsung urges all Galaxy Note 7 users to immediately return their old devices soonest possible as a safety precaution.
In Malaysia, those who have the Galaxy Note 7 devices can replace their current device with a new device beginning 29 September 2016. For any assistance, do call the Samsung Malaysia Careline at 1800-88-7799.
