Looks like KL city has just gotten a brand new identity!
Yesterday, KL Mayor Datuk Seri Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz revealed Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau and City Hall’s (DBKL) plans to further promote tourism and travel for the city. With that, an official brand identity for Kuala Lumpur was also announced..
The tagline for KL is now known as ‘A City of Contrasts & Diversity’, and under the new logo are the words ‘exciting’, ‘surprising’ and ‘enticing’. As per DBKL’s latest release, this brand identity refers to KL’s “contrasting heritage, multi-cultural society and religion, diverse attractions and metropolis”.
What do you think of this? Is highlighting contrast and diversity a good way to boost KL’s name? It looks like amateur work, to be honest.. 🙁
