Kanye has been in the headlines a lot recently, and not just because he has announced the release of his long awaited album, The Life of Pablo. The infamously controversial singer made a reference to country music princess Taylor Swift in his latest single, and not in the nicest way at all.

In the song called “Famous”, Kanye is heard rapping the words “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous.” This is in reference to West’s controversial interruption of Taylor Swift’s Best Music Video acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where he couldn’t contain his support for Beyonce.

Not only has he immortalised that moment in the song, he didn’t even call Taylor to get an approval, according to a statement sent by one of Taylor’s representative to Billboard.

He did ask Taylor to release his single on her Twitter account, which she declined, because she felt that the lyrics were too misogynistic. But she had no idea about the lyrics “I made that bitch famous”, and has hit out on Kanye for not keeping her in the loop about something like that.

What does Kanye has to say about this? We don’t know yet, the singer is still too preoccupied at the moment, trying to let world know that he’s 53 million dollars in debt.
