Due to the irregular weather, Malaysia may have to face the cold weather as low as 16ºC and the warm weather as high as 40ºC come February.
Some parts of the east coast, northern and central regions will be experiencing cold weather due to strong winds, as predicted by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) and it has been reported that areas like Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Kuantan, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan will be experiencing low temperatures similar to that of Genting and Cameron Highlands.
This is due to do the lack of sun activity or as some would call it – ‘the sleeping sun’ phenomenon. Hopefully, we Malaysians can finally enjoy sweater weather!

Unfortunately/fortunately to some, you will not need to anticipate colder climates as the Malaysian Meteorological department (MetMalaysia) has denied reports of a temperature drop throughout the month of February.
According to the MetMalaysia forecasts and due to the El Nino phenomenon, the heat will persist until June.
Oh well, time to put those sun dresses to use! 🙁
