On November 3, Burberry launched its festive campaign with a 3-minute film that features an all-star British cast of actors, musicians and models. The campaign pays tribute to Billy Elliot – an iconic BAFTA-winning British film which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
The film’s star-studded cast features Sir Elton John, James Corden, Julie Walters, Romeo Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Michelle Dockery, James Bay, George Ezra and Toby Huntington-Whiteley. Directed by Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Festive Film was shot at the Park Royal Studios in London.
Billy Elliot formed a legacy of charitable support for the local community of Easington, County Durham where the film is set. Following this, Burberry will be making a donation of £500,000 to be split between two charities, Place2Be and the County Durham Community Foundation, that run projects focusing on reducing barriers to education, training and employment in the local area.
