It’s never too late to sway and pirouette like Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis in Black Swan. A lot of women are hesitant about learning ballet for fear that their body won’t be as strong as flexible as early learners. Truth is, no matter how old you are, it’s never too late to learn ballet. It’s not just a form of exercise, but it’s a great method to help strengthen your body, tone and tighten all those wobbly areas, and even help you improve your posture and grace.
The key to learning ballet as an adult is to stop feeling intimidated by others who have had more years of practice than you. Instead of feeling threatened, use them as a mentor. It’ll also be more encouraging to take up adult ballet with some friends, so if you’re keen on learning, here’s a list of adult ballet classes available in the Klang Valley.
