A fire-fighter from Houston surprised his police officer girlfriend with a proposal over the weekend when he engineered a fake fire.
Jesse Gonzalez got the help of two Houston Fire Department stations and members of the Houston Police Department in order to put his elaborate plan into action, whereby he emerged from a burning garage in full uniform to propose to his lady love.
His girlfriend, Olga Peck, was of course stunned as she accepted her boyfriend’s proposal, gushing, “I love you, I can’t wait to marry you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Gonzalez, who has been a fire-fighter for 11 years, used the home of his pal to stage the fire and he had dry ice billowing out of the garage for a real-life effect.
Everyone played their part and Ms. Peck was in the car responding to the fire.
