Will Malaysia survive the zombie apocalypse this December? Debuted in the U.S. back in 2011, Run For Your Lives which billed itself as “The Original Zombie Infested 5k Obstacle Race” returns to Malaysia this 31st December at Taman Botani Putrajaya. #RFYLMY is one part 5K, one part obstacle course, one part escaping the clutches of zombies — and all parts awesome.
The premise behind the game is that a zombie apocalypse has plagued the world, caused by an unknown virus. Participants may choose to run as a ‘Survivor’ (human) or a Zombie, which provides them different entitlements.
The gameplay is generally simple – survivors will navigate a series of challenging obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies. At the end of this adventure race, you get to celebrate survival (or zombie transformation) with live entertainment and music, local celebrities, vendors, and of course, food!
