In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, Sunway Lagoon also hosted the ‘A Tale called Love’ Valentine’s Day dinner, for the first time ever in Sunway Lagoon’s history.
Transporting the couples into a romantic atmosphere on the shores of Sunway Lagoon’s very own Surf Beach, couples enjoyed a romantic customized 4-course dinner, complete with a stroller band performance, in addition to taking home with them lucky draw prizes worth RM50,000 and memories to last a lifetime.
The combination of the dinner’s romantic setting and the themed areas decorated for wedding certainly spurred Elson Ong, 28, to pull out the ring he carefully selected and propose to Ong KimBee, 25, to the cheers of the crowd.
This proposal came to a shock to many of the couples and hosts at the dinner. The newly engaged Ong, commented with tears in her eyes, saying “I never knew this is happening as I thought this will be another Valentine’s dinner,” As for the groom to be, Elson happily commented, “I’ve always wanted to propose on a beach setting, as she loves the idea of celebrity couples proposing during their trip. Thanks to Sunway Lagoon for making this possible!” The proposal then ended with fireworks display.

As for the wedding packages, they will be starting from RM250.00 per person, each wedding package offers a reception area, food and beverage, a stage area where major events will take place, elevated 10-seater table for the newlywed couple, guest tables, a photo wall and basic décor such which includes floral arrangements.
