When you’re in love, you want to show it and you want the world to know it. Whether it’s holding hands, canoodling by the river, or nuzzling in the train, there’s still the common question of “how much is too much”? Is PDA unnecessary and offensive, or just a two people in love expressing their emotions, and if so, why make it uncomfortable for others?
According to a study, public displays of affection may actually be proven healthy for married couples as it somehow boosts their parenting skills. However, it’s still great to know just how acceptable some acts are in public. Here’s a simple rating and guide we’ve compiled to give you the chance to canoodle in public, without getting stared down.

Holding Hands
Rating: Acceptable

Holding hands is quite fairly harmless. It’s absolutely common among and we’re pretty sure no one will accuse you of being fornicators. Unless if that does happen, we reckon moving off to another social scene.

Kissing
Rating: Acceptable, with limits

Kissing is fairly standard in most relationships and while it can happen, do enjoy it but know your limits. You want people to know you’re in love, not give them an opportunity to having random fantasies when they head home, or make others feel awkward. Go with small pecks on the cheeks and lips, and leave it there. No one needs to know how you sneak your tongue into his mouth.

Nuzzling
Rating: Unacceptable

Nuzzling may seem cute. On the beach, in the bus, or just as your boyfriend stops you at your front door, you may think it seems quite harmless and it wouldn’t really get into another person’s space. Well, you’re very wrong. Kissing, as it is musters a lot of disagreements, the last thing you want to do is get ‘nosey’.

Hands in Pockets
Rating: Unacceptable and tacky

We’ve all seen couples who sneak their hands into the back pocket of their partners to cop of a feel of their butts. That’s a no and a no, no, no. Whether he’s doing it to you, or you’re doing to him, it’s an unbelievably tacky move that you should stop doing. Hold hands instead.
