According to new data release by price comparison site HotelsCombined.com, London has been named as the top destination in Europe for summer travellers and a demand for accommodation has increased seven percent since 2013.
Based on the number of hotel bookings made in European cities over the summer season this year (July-August), here are the top ten most booked cities:
London, Paris, Barcelona and Rome have maintained their positions for the second year in a row while the popularity of Berlin increased by 34 percent. Alycia Simons, Global PR and Content Manager of HotelsCombined.com says that although Europe welcomes tourists all year round, an increasing number of holiday makers don’t seem to mind battling the crowds and high temperatures to visit these cities.
