The Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week press conference took place recently, gathering Malaysia’s fashion key players to launch the event.
Hosted by Andrews Models, the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready-to-Wear 2013 (KLFW) saw KLFW’s sponsors, partners and supportive friends for information about Kuala Lumpur Fashion week which is slated to take place from 19-23 June at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Among those present were designers Dato’ Farah Khan and Dato’ Tom Abang Saufi; Editor-In-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Natasha Kraal; Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Director of Marketing, Kung Suan Ai and President of the Malaysian Official Designers’ Association, Gillian Hung – just to name a few.
The Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week RTW 2013 (KLFW) will see emerging and established local fashion designers showcasing their latest Ready-To-Wear collection in a 5-day event located at the shopping district of Kuala Lumpur.
KLFW aims to create a sustainable local fashion industry with export capabilities; by Malaysia for the world. It aims to inspire designers to foster consumer attitudes within the Malaysian fashion market in buying local and staying true to our abilities. ReadyTo-Wear collections that are available off the rack focuses on clothing that are produced without significant alteration, made to standard sizes that fits most people by using standard patterns, factory equipment, and faster construction techniques to keep costs low compared to a custom-made outfit.
