It has always been a time consuming commute if you were to travel from Ampang to Sentul Timur with the transit at Chan Sow Lin. But not anymore, as from December 1 onwards commuters can travel directly from Ampang to Sentul Timur non-stop without having to transit anywhere.

This non-stop service from Ampang to Sentul Timur has been made possible following the completion of the upgrading work done on the signalling system for the entire Ampang and Sri Petaling line for the usage of the new six-car AMY trains.

In a statement by the Rapid Rail chief executive officer Datuk Zohari Sulaiman, it says, “Beginning Dec 1, the entire Sri Petaling and Ampang Lines will use the new six-car AMY trains. The Adtranz trains in use since 1996 and serving the Ampang Line now will be completely decommissioned.”

This is great news for patrons who travel this route on a daily basis as this allows for a shorter, more convenient and comfortable commute along this line.
