After witnessing the glorious success of Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games‘ opening ceremony at the newly revamped Bukit Jalil National Stadium, it’s easy to say that we feel immense pride from being a part of this country like never before (seriously, have you watched it?), especially to see our history being showcased in the magnificent presentation.

We saw Malaysian creativity and ingenuity at its best, as everything went on smoothly like clockwork and not a beat was missed. A major congratulations to the producers and crew who made this possible, as well as the efforts of volunteers who’ve worked their hearts out to make such a memorable impact.

Having said that, we’re also super delighted to see our talented athletes contending in the big leagues, specifically the dominant females. These gorgeous ladies are superstars in their own right, yet could easily pass off as supermodels too. Check out this list of some of Malaysia’s hottest women competing in the 29th SEA Games 2017:

Women’s Health/SAYS

1. Farah Ann – Gymnastic (Artistic)

Gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi may have come under attack over on social media, but it definitely has not stopped her from delivering fantastic performances time and time again, even successfully clinching a gold medal in the artistic gymnastics floor event. Days before the SEA Games 2017 competition, her Instagram account got mercilessly hacked, with all of her photos being wiped out.

2. Pandelela Rinong – Aquatic (Diving)

Sarawakian diving sensation Pandelela Rinong took a break from training recently and swapped out her swimsuit for some high fashion pieces that would make even a seasoned fashionistas envious. The public is used to Pandelela being decked out in her orange Team Malaysia jersey, but damn, she looked particularly stunning in her shoot with Tatler. She was also one of the torch-bearers for Kuala Lumpur SEA Games’s opening ceremony.

3. Niena Azman – Futsal

Since the start of the SEA Games, Niena Azman has been the talk of the town especially amongst male netizens — for her dazzling good looks and solid goalkeeping skills. The 30-year-old works as a futsal coach at Academia de Futsal – a futsal academy based in Petaling Jaya. She also plays for Putra Ria FC, one of the biggest teams in Malaysian women’s futsal. Catch Niena Azman in action at KL 2017 SEA Games this coming Sunday (27th Aug 2017).

4. Steffi Sarge Kaur – Futsal

Even with her ‘norm-core’ appearance, this 29-year-old is the epitome of natural beauty. Of Chinese, Punjabi and Siamese descent, the footballer has always dreamt of representing the national team in whichever sport she can. And that’s exactly what she did – represent the country for football, futsal and rugby. She has even remarked, “Football is my boyfriend. If there is a guy trying to get close to me, please make sure you can play football.”

5. Zylane Lee – Aquatic (Syncronised)

After her former swimming partner Katrina Abdul Hadi (yes, Farah Ann’s sister) retired from the sport, Zylane Lee Yhing Huey found a new PIC, Stephanie Hua Wei. The pair won gold medal for Malaysia in the synchronised swimming category after chalking up 76.3000 points in the duet free event at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil last Sunday (20th Aug 2017).

6. Leong Mun Yee – Diving

Leong Mun Yee made her SEA Games debut in Jakarta in 1997 (she was only 13 years old) and was also selected to be part of the national diving team for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. That means, this marks the Ipoh-born athlete’s 20th year of her sports career, still proving to be a force to be reckoned with no matter how many times she’s made our country proud.
