The region’s largest social media awards show – Influence Asia 2017 – went down on April 8 2017 at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), and boy was it glamourous. Not only did 252 top social media influencers across seven countries gather for the award show, K-pop star Jessica Jung was present to grace us with a stellar performance.
Organised by Gushcloud and hosted by Yello Digital Marketing (YDM), the winners for Influence Asia 2017 were decided via peer-to-peer voting by the Top 4 nominees of all 10 categories – Beauty, Fashion, Parenting, Food, Health & Fitness, Breakout Influencer, Lifestyle, YouTube Channel and YouTube Personality.
On top of those, there is the Influencer of the Year award which was crowned to one outstanding influencer from each country. Being the host, special Influencers’ Choice Awards were also given to three Malaysian influencers based on voting done by other local influencers.
Aimed at honouring social media influencers for their contributions toward the industry, Influence Asia 2017 featured other performing acts like De Fam, Project E.A.R, Tulus, The Lion City Boy and Noo Phuoc Thinh. Amongst the renown presenters include Carli Bybel, Shannon Harris, Lilymaymac, Judy and Benji Travis, Sririta Jensen, Liane V and more.
