An 18-year-old girl in Malacca gave birth to a baby boy in the bathroom and then tossed her baby boy out of a window.
It is learnt that the university undergraduate visited her aunt’s village home in Batang Tiga on Tuesday night and unexpectedly gave birth. She has been keeping her pregnancy a secret for nine months.
The girl had been in the bathroom for more than 45 minutes when her concerned aunt decided to check on her, and found her bleeding profusely. She then rushed her niece to the Malacca Hospital at about 9:00p.m., where the doctors realized that she had just given birth.
The police found the baby boy’s body outside of the house, below the bathroom, on the same night at about 1:00a.m.
Malacca CID chief Asst Comm Raja Shahrom Raja Abdullah said, “The case is being investigated for murder.”
