As a 20-something HORMONAL young adult, I’ve had my fair share of crushes. For me, it’s not simply a guy’s charming personality or physical appearance that makes me swoon; it’s all about body language. Though I am no expert in this, I’ve come to notice some subtle things that guys do that make them seem irresistible. Here are some of the subtle things that guys do that drive me CRAZY.
Hand at the small of your back
When it comes to body language, hand placement is KEY. Where their hand is put can make a huge difference; it can be anywhere on your body, such as your back, thigh, or shoulders (consensually, of course)! But it’s the lower back, especially, that really gets me. This one works because they appear to be leading the way by softly pushing the small of your back while also allowing you to go first.
When they’re focused on something
Nothing’s hotter than watching someone focus intently on a task. This is similar to them doing something they’re passionate about, or when they’re trying to find a solution for something. It shows that they can be serious when it’s needed, which is HOTTT!
Offering their jacket / coat
This one is sweet and chivalrous! I don’t know about you but whenever a guy lends me his jacket without me asking, it’s a green flag for me. It shows that he’s attentive to my needs and caring, which is SO attractive! And if he has a good quality jacket that smells nice, it shows that he’s got style, which is a plus in my book!
Good with kids
Look, I’m not saying that I want kids, but there’s just something so attractive about a guy being good with kids! It shows that they’re patient, fun and just a warm person in general. Maybe it’s my ‘maternal instincts’ kicking in, or maybe it’s just ridiculously attractive! Similarly, I find it quite attractive when they are really good with pets, specifically dogs. Though I’m not comparing dogs to children (okay, maybe I am), it just gives me the sense they’re a very loving and warm person!
Hand holding
I might be a basic b*tch for saying this, but I just find hand holding adorable. It’s simple, it’s direct, and it lets the other person know that you care for them. Like the other subtle actions, it’s much more impactful if they just do it naturally, at the right moment! Plus, if you have cold hands like me, you’ll definitely appreciate a warm hand-holding session!
Reading a book
As I mentioned previously, you just become so much more attractive when you’re focused on something, and reading a book does just that, but so much more. I mean, there’s literally an Instagram account dedicated to photos of guys reading called @hotdudesreading! What can I say? Intelligence is sexy.
