Model Kendall Jenner is no stranger to starring in high fashion shoots and walking down some of the most notable runways, and her latest Vogue cover shoot for April 2018 is no less spectacular. It also features a very special guest – a bird. Not just any bird, but a gorgeous yell0w-crested cockatoo which tropical species is only found in Indonesia’s Sulawesi and Lesser Sundas islands.
Both Kendall and the cockatoo have the fiercest smize on the cover, and it sets the tone for the rest of the shoot, which is mostly themed to emulate a tropical oasis. In the accompanying interview, the 22-year-old reality TV star reveals A LOT about her sexuality, opening up particularly on the rumours about her being gay.
“I think it’s because I’m not like all my other sisters, who are like, ‘Here’s me and my boyfriend!” she mentioned. “So it was a thing for a minute because no one ever saw me with a guy. I would always go that extra mile to be low-key with guys, sneaking around all the time.”
She continues, “You don’t want to, like, look crazy,” further insisting that she doesn’t “have a bisexual or gay bone in my body.” However, she isn’t ruling anything out, “I’m all down for experience—not against it whatsoever—but I’ve never been there before.”
She then answers the question head-on, “But to answer your question: I’m not gay. I have literally nothing to hide… I would never hide something like that,” though admitting that she has a “male energy” before confirming that she’s dating Detroit Pistons basketball player Blake Griffin.
As for her decision to slow down on the career front to take some time off for herself, she says, “You’re not going to care that you worked every day and you made this much money. You’re going to care about the relationships that you’ve built and the bonds that you have and the love that you’ve created. That’s what you’re going to care about. That’s my whole thing: what you leave behind.”
Oh, did we mention that her sister Kim Kardashian is envious of Kendall’s Vogue cover?
