Representatives from Blackmores Malaysia recently shared some knowledge on healthy living to the caretakers and volunteers at The Beautiful Gate Foundation for the disabled.

Monitar Tan, Naturopath of Blackmores Malaysia said, “We are here today in support and care for the disabled here at The Beautiful Gate Foundation. At Blackmores we believe that constantly reminding ourselves to stay healthy is the key, and this is why we are here today”.

“Living healthy goes for all and the disabled are no exception. Although they face their challenges, it does not mean they are in poor health”, she continued.

In conjunction with the launch of their latest antioxidant formula Bio Ace Plus, Blackmores shared details behind the importance of antioxidants and useful information that can aid caretakers, especially with the exposure to various free radicals in our surrounding environment.

With grape seed and selenium present in additional to vitamins A, C, E, B1, B6, B12, folic acid and zinc, one daily dose of Blackmores’ Bio Ace Plus aids in the reducing the risk of cell damage caused by free radicals.

“Both grapeseed and selenium are powerful antioxidants. In the immune system, selenium is involved in protecting white blood cells from free radical damage and also appears to increase the production of antibodies. Grapeseed extract contains a rich source of plant flavonoids called oligomeric procyanidins (commonly known as OPCs), which are

highly bioavailable. Grapeseed extract assists in the maintenance of peripheral circulation and capillary integrity. It also supports collagen structures and promotes reinforcement of the natural cross-linking of collagen fibres.”

Apart from sharing their knowledge in health and wellness, Blackmores Malaysia also treated the disabled with a variety of health supplements including the antioxidant Bio Ace Plus and multivitamins.

Pastor Sia Siew Chin, President of The Beautiful Gate Foundation for the disabled said, “We do our best we can for all here at the foundation and we are thankful to BLACKMORES for the support they have given us and for assisting in the health and wellbeing of the residents here”.
