When it comes to our hair, we girls ain’t got the time to heat up the styling iron, divide the hair into small parts and style it. Well, if you’re someone like me who styles her hair based on the many hacks TikTok has to offer, then this article is crafted for you!

A messy bun has become a rave, because it’s not only super easy to do, but it’s extremely stylish as well. It looks great with any ensemble you don, makeup, and style you’re going for. There’s something very elegant about a messy bun that makes any woman look confident, powerful and sassy. If you’re clueless on what hairstyle to choose for an occasion, a messy bun always brings home the medal. You can tie a messy bun for formal or casual events because, like I said, it’s always a winner to ace any look.

So TikTok has been a favorite place for me to pick up new hacks because you know they’re going to be easy and simple – with a classy result in the end. This video, in particular, made my jaw drop because firstly, hello, it’s Kim K’s hairstylist – Chris Appleton, and number two, the model’s bun looks flawless, with a center partition. So let’s break down the steps and ace this hairstyle!

Step 1: First, he splits hair down the middle and creates two high ponytails.

Step 2: On the final tie of the ponytail, take the hair and make a loop. So you will have one loop on each side.

Step 3: Once you’ve got two loops, you’ll want to cross them over and pin them into place. You’d want to secure them nicely with bobby pins. You can use a setting spray to add volume and to ensure the hair stays in place.

Step 4: Take the ends of the hair from the ponytails and securely tuck them with bobby pins.

Step 5: You could leave the bun as it is, or personalize your messy bun look by either dressing out the baby hair, adding accessories, or simply pull out a small portion of hair from the sides.
