Enjoy the season’s Korean-inspired Ginseng Splendid Afternoon Tea inspired by Sulwhasoo – created by Portuguese Chef Carlos Valente, the new executive pastry chef at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, and his colleagues – while taking in the stunning views of Kuala Lumpur from level 53 of the hotel.
The Ginseng Splendid Afternoon Tea inspired by Sulwhasoo menu is curated with inspiration from Sulwhasoo’s heritage ingredient, Ginsenomics – a substance from the Ginseng plant that addresses anti-aging concerns. A collection of four special dessert is infused with Ginseng, such as the Ginseng Strawberry Macaron – Almond Meringue with strawberry Ginseng Gel; Walnut Brownies – Ginseng Ganache with Salted Caramel; Ginseng Raspberry Tart – Almond shell with Ginseng Jelly; and the Banana Cake – Chocolate Chip with Banana Cream and Ginseng.
The main treats are complemented by Scones with homemade clotted cream and fruit jam; Creamy Mango Cheesecake, and citrusy Yuzu Choux.
Delectable savoury treats are also on offer, and include Spicy Fried Chicken, Chijimi Pancake, Gimbap and a Croquette Sandwich. The dishes are, of course, paired with a selection of gourmet coffee by illy Caffè and fine teas by Harney & Sons.
