Hundreds of fundraising runners gathered at the Kepong Metropolitan Park to rally their support for the first ever “Run with Certainty” organized by Disposable Soft Goods (M) Sdn Bhd to raise awareness on the topic of incontinence. People who have incontinence may experience accidental or involuntary loss of urine or excrement in their daily lives. The message that Certainty DayPants wants to send out is that life does not need to stop there. Incontinence is a condition that can be managed, easily and conveniently, and Certainty Daypants is there to help.
The charity run saw runners young and old take to the course with the choice of a 6km circuit or the shorter 3km circuit surrounding the park. The Run with Certainty also serves to highlight that Malaysians with this condition are not alone and do not need to go through life silently – through hundreds of runners showing that the spirit of care and support is strong within the community, whilst also giving them the chance to use their legs for a good cause!
All money raised from the event will go towards Persatuan Kebajikan Ci Hang, Chempaka, Selangor, Rumah Caring Kajang, Sungei Way Old Folks Home and Lovely Nursing Centre, SS3, KL, dedicated to supporting sufferers of light to medium incontinence.
