The recipe for the hyped up cronut can now be found on Good Morning America’s website, so you can put together your very own batch of the pastry at home.
But, before you get all your ingredients together and whip out your tools, you should know that the recipe is freaking RIDICULOUS.
It’s clearly a threat to your mental health. It’s that extreme.
For starters, it takes three days to make. For a pastry that essentially just involves flour, salt, sugar, yeast, eggs and butter, three days is a very long time.
It also should be noted that the recipe calls for 26 tablespoons of butter. Yeap, an unbelievable t-w-e-n-t-y s-i-x tablespoons.
To beat all of that in smoothly, you’ll need a stand mixer.
Once you get through the two days of prep-work, the pastries need to be fried in oil that’s precisely 175 degrees Celsius, no more, no less.
And all this hard work will only produce around eight cronuts or so. Too. Much. Hassle. 🙁
Will you still attempt to make cronuts though? Let us know in the comments section below!
