I think we girls go through this dilemma every time, either on anniversaries, Christmas, oh and especially birthdays! Just thinking of what gift to get your boyfriend is a task on its own!
It might happen once a year, but that doesn’t make buying a birthday gift for your boyfriend any easier. You can always find out what your boyfriend is interested in but if you have already done that and thought of practically everything and anything and you’re still clueless? Don’t fret! We’ve put together a list of gifts/ideas you can do for your boyfriend on his big day.
1. Surprise Birthday Bash
No matter how old he gets, a surprise birthday bash will never get old. So go ahead order a novelty cake of the football team he supports or a band he listens to. Oh and not forgetting call his friends but keep it a surprise. When he comes through the door, watch his jaw drop as he sees his friends call out ‘Happy Birthday’!
2. Cook For Him
What better way to please your man than through his tummy! You can either cook his favourite dish or you can try cooking something else he might like but hasn’t tried. Look up on the Net for free recipes or call your mum for dips on what’s good! Then watch him eat his heart out!
3. A Day Out To Do His Favourite Things
He will be truly surprised. I mean what better way to celebrate his big day than a whole day of doing what he enjoys best! Take him for a movie marathon, go to the arcade if that’s what he loves to do or have drinks and dinner at his favourite pub!
4. Fix His Car
He might not have any problems with his car but boys will be boys — there will always be something they want to add on or change. What you can do is, you can either call his mechanic and find out whether your boyfriend has plans to change his rims etc. or you take his car to his mechanic and do a full-on servicing for him!
5. Buy Him A Watch
You can never go wrong with getting him a watch. A watch to a guy is like jewellery to a girl, match made in materialistic heaven! Just get a rough idea of what kind of a watch person he is. For example, is he a sporty person or a minimalistic kind of guy? There’s a watch for every guy!
6. Spring Cleaning
Whether your boyfriend is a neat freak or the total opposite, his house will never be dust-free! When he’s out at work, you can start by doing his laundry and maybe start cleaning up his place. You can always call in a cleaner to help you if you think you’re not capable on your own.
7. Naughty Jar
Here’s a little DIY you can present your boyfriend. The naughty jar, to me is one of the most romantic ideas I’ve heard of. Start by filling up a glass jar with paper chits. On each chit write down the romantic moments you had as a couple or something naughty you want to do for him on his birthday. Be creative! And tell him he gets to pick one chit out every night.
8. Treasure Hunt
Make him hunt down his birthday gift! I bet everyone played treasure hunt when they were a kid, so you know the rules! Place a clue in a spot where he frequents every morning. That clue should lead him to another place where he will find the second and eventually should lead him to the hidden gift!
