They may not have much luck in finding a girlfriend right now, but it seems that men at the bottom end of the looks scale will end up happily married.
Although it seems like females are superficial when it comes to how their partners look, a study reveals that personality really is more important than looks for women when it comes to marriage material.
So, for all men who have struggled to find love so far or you have low self-esteem because of your looks, the future is bright for you.
Researchers found that women look for good character when choosing someone to tie the knot with, and they also don’t mind a few physical impairments.
The US study followed 13,034 people and their relationships over 15 years, to the age of 34, and each participant was rated on looks, grooming and character.
Men rated as having an above-average personality were found to be more likely to get married, even if they have below-average looks.
To all the good looking men out there, we’re not saying that it’s all bad news for you, but you are more likely to live with your partner but remain unmarried, according to the study by University of Miami.
He also said more couples now perceive moving in together as a trial, rather than a commitment.
