Health Warning: Resistance to Antibiotics Poses Threat to Curing Diseases

A top health official from Britain reported that resistance to antibiotics poses a threat to medicine, which could result to patients having the minor risk of dying from infections, that can no longer be treated.

Sally Davies, the chief medical officer for England, said that it should be a global action to fight antibiotic resistance by researching and developing new medicines to treat emerging, mutating infections.

“Antimicrobial resistance poses a catastrophic threat. If we don’t act now, any one of us could go into hospital in 20 years for minor sugary and die because of an ordinary infection that can’t be treated by antibiotics,” said Davies.

Davies has called on government and organizations across the globe, including the World Health Organisation and the G8, to take this medical threat seriously.

As the dependence of antibiotics was never good to begin with, the body still requires proper antibodies to fight diseases naturally. There is no empirical proof as of yet, but we highly recommend working on a healthier diet and lifestyle.
