To welcome an auspicious Chinese New Year 2013, adidas Originals has released the Superstar II, inspired by the Year of the Snake. The limited edition CNY version of the Superstar 80s come in two colour variations – red and black.
Celebrating the Snake on the Chinese Zodiac, the Superstar II features gold synthetic snakeskin print on the iconic Three Stripes and on the back heel tab. The footbed is made of luxurious jacquard satin with a knotted snake graphic, symbolizing fortune, auspiciousness and satisfaction. A jade-like jewel engraved with the snake character adorns the shoe laces of the Superstar II, and to top it off: these kicks also come with a custom designed snake bi-disk as a hangtag.
