Mention the name ‘Adele’, and the first thing that comes to mind is the British songstress herself. But it looks like Adele is making full use of that by trademarking her own name.
Sources revealed that the award-winning popstar wants to make sure that her name will not be used to sell perfume or jewelry without her consent. “She doesn’t want anyone exploiting her name by using it on products which may trick punters into thinking she’s involved with it”. (Source)
It appears that 2012 has been a fairly good year for Adele, too. She gave birth to her first child recently, won six Grammy Awards, two Brit awards and recently named Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press. A title given to most influential entertainers on entertainment and culture, like Lady Gaga and comedian Tina Fey.
