Always wanted to see your boyfriend/husband or just any ordinary man cry? Well, here are few movies you could ‘accidently’ play when your guy is around… or maybe even schedule a viewing?
Don’t worry, it’s not all about the romance novels, chick flicks and all things girly. We’re adding in a few ‘manly’ movies that will also get your man a little teary.
A WALK TO REMEMBER (2002)

The story of two teens, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan, who are thrown together after Landon gets into trouble and is made to do community service.
This is a coming of age kind of love story. Two people from two different lifestyles somehow find themselves at a certain point of their life. It’s the balance of bad boy versus good girl and how love makes the two opposites attract.
But, falling in love isn’t the main thing in this movie – it’s the ‘in sickness and in health’ part that brings the hardship and the tears. When Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) finds out she’s dying – she how Landon deals with it and how a couple can actually make things work… or not.
Though this movie wont exactly get your man to ‘burst’ into tears – it will get a tear or two running down his cheek.

THE NOTEBOOK (2004)

STARING: Rachel McAdams, Ryan Gosling
Yes, the classic. They say if you have a boyfriend, be sure to get him Notebooked! Though this is a movie a LOT of men will run away from – if you can get him to sit down and watch, it’ll be worth it.
Based on the best selling novel by Nicholas Spark – A poor and passionate young man falls in love with a rich young woman and gives her a sense of freedom. They soon are separated by their social differences. This is a story of trust, compassion and the fight for love.
Now, who’s heart wouldn’t melt for a story like that?
Though, when it comes to romance movies like this, guys will try to refuse to open up their tear ducts, but let’s hope it works anyways right?

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS (2006)

STARING: Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Thandie Newton
Inspired by a true story, this a movie that brings the relationship between father and son to another level. The drive and the love a father has for his son is what makes him continue to strive and despite being left with litterally nothing, he is left with his son who is his everything. It’s heart warming, heart breaking and an emoitional roller coaster. This movie is more then a movie to make your man cry, this movie will move him and change him… and even yourself.
The main thing about this movie that is so precious is the lessons that it teaches you. No matter what age or gender, this is a movie that will make anyone and everyone tear up just a little… or in some cases, bucket loads!

HACHIKO: A DOG’S TAIL (2009)

If your an animal lover and so is your man, then this is a movie that you should prepare for. The loyalty between animals and humans are sometimes misunderstood – this movie shows the real loyalty and love that can be taken from a man and his dog. This is a true story and it is also a heartbreaking one.
When a college professor finds a dog lost and right infront of him, he does the right thing and takes the dog home – but he never realized how faithful this dog was. From the tinniest puppy to a full grown dog, the story about Hachiko will show you how loyal a dog can be to it’s owner.
This is a story that should definitely be seen by anyone and everyone. It will bring another kind of emotion to the table.

This is where the tables turn a little. Ofcourse, we’re not going to always force a guy to watch chick-flicks and romance to get their tears jerking… right? It all needs to be a little balanced.. you get some, you give some.
If you’ve got one of those macho-kinda guys, then this is the movie for him.. and you’re going to have to bear with the viloence. Despite the movie being about fighting and violence. The movie focuses on determination, hardship and family.
Imagine, two brothers ending up face to face in a fight – what would happen? Would you fight or forfeit? This is a story of courage, and determination. Going from the lowest point to the highest.
It is proven that this movie will definately make your man cry!
