The lipstick is considered one of those makeup products that you have a lot of, but never enough. Even though you have all these different shades – some of which are the same shades – and formulas, you always find yourself buying more lipsticks than you do other products.
However, with all these lipsticks at hand, it’s quite hard to get through them, considering they can last quite a long time. Hence, why not use two lipsticks for a colour combo on your pretty pouters for a try!
You can use lip liners with this trick – but, if you’re like me and don’t really use lip liners, using lipsticks are great as well – and will do the same thing a lip liner would.
Nude and Red
Beauty lovers in Asia – especially in Korea – love using this colour combo on their lips. The colour gradient from nude to red makes your lips look super pouty. Also, with the centre being a redder shade, it will appear as if you just had an icy popsicle. It’s super adorable and has been making a full impact in the Western beauty realm.
I would suggest using a nude matte lipstick with a red matte liquid lipstick to achieve this look for easier blending. Top it off with a high glossy finish to make your lips shinier and enticing.
Brown and Beige
The classic and everlasting combo that should be a staple in an everyday makeup look and my personal favourite. You can never go wrong with two basic colours that just complement each other well. You could easily pull this off with just light makeup, and it would still appear as if you put so much effort into your look.
A brown outer-line on your lips will appear as a contour to enhance the thickness of your lips, while the beige will highlight the centre of your lips, making them look super full and luscious.
Brown and Pink
Not that absurd of a combo, and it doesn’t hurt to try it at least once. Pink and brown are not that far away in the colour spectrum and they work wonderfully together on your lips. The coloured duo will enhance the features on lips, making them extra pouty and fuller. Much like the previous lip colour combo, the pink in the centre will emphasise the plumpness of your pretty lips.
Black and Red
The lip colour duo that has been blowing up on alt makeup TikTok – black pencil eyeliner with your favourite dark red lips. Crazy, but hear me out – if your look for that day is all black, mostly vampy vibes, instead of just a normal red lip, amp it up by outlining it with black.
The black works exactly like the brown, as it will contour and shape the lips that you desire. Also, it will just add an oomph to your makeup look, as your main statement are your lips.
Brown And Red
Another lip trend that has been all the rage on TikTok – pairing a dark brown colour with a more amber red. This unique colour combo works wonders on all lips and will make the centre of your makeup look all about the interesting colour duo. The brick coloured red lip against the dark brown shade will enhance the fullness as well as thickness of your lips – which is what we all desire. Also, pairing this look with an all black fit is the best to achieve that alt punk look.
