Renowned paper manufacturer Double A recently launched its 1Dream 1Tree campaign to highlight current environmental issues in the world today while promoting environmental sustainability.
The campaign has been making an impact in saving the environment since July 2016 through collaborations and partnerships with like-minded individuals and organisations, along with exciting consumer engaging activities.
This initiative introduces the world into Double A’s revolutionary paper manufacturing method with its Paper Tree from KHAN-NA, a unique agro-forestry practice that utilises vacant space between rice fields in Thailand owned by local farmers who are provided additional income when they sell the sustainable fibre-source back to Double A.
By creating a sustainable ecosystem around the business, Double A has not only managed to tackle environmental issues but also create a prosperous social and economic environment.
Double A also collaborated with local champions of sustainable living Biji-biji Initiative to conduct a creative workshop aimed to educate and encourage people to re-examine their consumption choices. We got crafty at the workshop which focused on the best use of paper in creative and functional ways.
Denise Keller, most known for for being on MTV Asia and who is an environment activist, teamed up with Double A for the workshop to further spread this message on sustainability. Other celebrity guests present at the creative workshop include Deborah Henry and Hansen Lee.
It’s definitely imperative that we take care of our earth. Access Double A’s official website for more details regarding the 1Dream 1Tree campaign.
