Daisy Ridley definitely proved that she can handle a weapon, do intense chasing and running, and kick your ass if need be when she starred as Rey in Star Wars. So, it does not come as much of a surprise when we heard news that is next in line to be the new Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.
Although the decision is not yet final, a source that said that Ridley has made quite an impression as Rey, and producers are positive that she can pull it off. “Tomb Raider is becoming a reality. Bosses see Daisy as a potential Lara due to her athletic skills and Brit accent.”
Other actresses who are also being eyed for the role are Hayley Atwell, Gemma Arterton and Kaya Scodelario. On the other hand, Megan Fox, Kristen Stewart and Olivia Wilde have all reportedly turned down the part.
Ridley is currently is filming Star Wars: Episode VIII which is due for release in December 2017.
