You’ve heard us rave about this little island previously, now let’s talk about one of its latest and most desired places to stay.
Famous for its standard facilities and luxury, the “Hard Rock Hotel” is situated along Batu Ferringhi in our Pearl of the Orient, Penang. Entering its grounds alone would make you feel like you’re taking a tour down the museum of the music industry. Its lobby and hallways are adorned with memorabilia of sorts!
The friendly retreat boasts about 249 elegantly appointed rooms that are equipped with all the essential amenities you would need, some more than anyone could ask for! A standard hotel room has a comfy, plush bed, mini bar, a large “Hard Rock Hotel” armchair, a 32-inch LCD screen TV, an audio system (complete with an iPod dock), and get this..
..complimentary broadband internet access!
Perfect for the working travelers, no?
And now that we’ve gotten the beautiful “Hard Rock Hotel” rooms out of the way, let us introduce you to the true star of the show – the “Hard Rock Café”.
The concept of Penang’s “Hard Rock Café” is somewhat different from the one that you would find along in Concorde Hotel along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur. This one here is somewhat cozier, perhaps skewed more towards “family”. But they’ve certainly remembered not to compromise on deco, food, and of course live entertainment.
We personally found it set to be a little bit more casual and relaxing, with an atmosphere that allows people to not only dine and drink but also to relax over a cup of coffee or a moment between, say, swimming in the beautiful pool and frolicking by the beach, for a light snack between meals.
There’s also a “Rock Shop” within the café that sells all sorts of location-specific “Hard Rock” merchandise. So you can bring a piece of your holiday home with you!
Bringing accommodation in Penang to new heights, the “Hard Rock Hotel” is the perfect place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city. And really, it doesn’t matter if you’re with family, friends, or alone because one thing’s for sure, what they say is true, that once you’re booked up in “Hard Rock Hotel”, you wouldn’t want to leave!
