Yeay! The Walt Disney Company recently unveiled the first detailed look of the brand new Disney Resort and Disneyland in Shanghai, China, and it looks fantastic. Shanghai Disneyland will feature six themed lands filled with tons of attractions and live entertainment spectaculars, many of which are new for a Disney theme park.
The themed lands will include Treasure Cove, Mickey Avenue, Adventure Isle, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and the Gardens of Imagination. The resort will also include two hotels, the lakeside Wishing Star Park, and Disneytown, a shopping, dining and entertainment district for all generations to enjoy.
Amongst the new attractions debuting in China include the Enchanted Storybook Castle, a technologically advanced Disney castle, the Treasure Cove, a land dedicated to pirates, the TRON Lightcycle Power Run, a thrilling coaster-style adventure, and The Garden of Twelve Friends, depicting the animals of the Chinese zodiac re-imagined as Disney and Disney-Pixar characters.
On top of that, Disney’s The Lion King will also be showcased for the first time ever in Mandarin in the resort’s Broadway-style theatre, the Walt Disney Grand Theatre. Shanghai Disney Resort and Shanghai Disneyland is slated to be opened in the first half of 2016.
