Magnum Kuala Lumpur Unveils New Signature Specialties

Last week, Magnum Kuala Lumpur held a buka puasa gathering for the members of the media in conjunction with the upcoming Raya celebrations. Situated in Mid Valley Megamall, the Magnum pleasure store is the first in the world and was opened for Malaysian Pleasure Seekers in December 2014.

Spanning across two floors, the Magnum store exudes a contemporary, classy interior and seats up to 100 pax at a time. At the gathering, we got the chance to sample some of Magnum’s new signature specialties, including some savoury foods and desserts.

Magnum Oxtail Soup with Sushi Rice

The Oxtail Soup with Sushi Rice is one of the menu highlights at Magnum Kuala Lumpur. Instead of serving the spicy beef broth with regular white rice, the dish is served with Japanese rice cooked with shallots. There was a generous amount of beef in the broth, and it was an absolutely comforting dish.

Magnum Chicken Toasties with Chunky Tomato Dip

The Chicken Toasties is definitely a crowd favourite – toast is stuffed with minced chicken and then deep fried until golden. Perfect for families with small children, the toasties are served with a spicy chunky tomato dip.

Magnum Pasta

That night, we also sampled three pasta dishes – the Chicken Rendang Pasta, Aglio Olio with Shrimps and the Carbonara Pasta. Very localised and Malaysian, the Chicken Rendang Pasta had a spicy kick to it and was very flavourful. The Aglio Olio with Shrimps was simple and delicious, whereas the Carbonara Pasta was rich, cheesy and indulgent.

Magnum Death By Chocolate

We also got our own handcrafted Make My Magnum ice cream before being served with Death By Chocolate, a delectable warm molten lava cake, topped off with a Magnum chocolate brownie ice cream and chocolate crunch pearls. It was the perfect ending to the exciting evening.
