Exciting news for fans of “Tangled”, Disney’s adaption of Rapunzel, as it has been confirmed that the charming story will be turned into an animated series! In 2017, Disney will debut the new how which will feature Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider. Even the award-winning composer of the film’s beautiful musical numbers, Alan Menken, will be set to create more tunes for the TV show.
The colourful cast of the original 2010 hit film will be making a reappearance, including Rapunzel’s adorable iguana sidekick, Pascal, Flynn’s trusty steed Maximus, the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs, and even a new character being introduced, Cassandra, Rapunzel’s handmaiden.
The new series will be set between the events of the first film and the animated short Tangled Ever After, and features Rapunzel’s coming of age, as she decides to put her marriage and her position to rule the people of Corona on hold, so she can explore the world and get to know who she truly is. Fun adventures and hijinks await, as the loveable characters are back together to their brave quests and hilarious antics. We definitely can’t wait for this series to debut!
