This May, Fitness First and FITMALAYSIA join hands to help make Malaysia a more sporting nation. Although many of our country’s inhabitants are loyal sports lovers, the powerful duo have found a need for more participation and awareness when it comes to being active and leading a healthy lifestyle. The partnership was officiated by Mr. Kurt Stocks, Country Manager of Fitness First Malaysia and Yang Berhormat Encik Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia at Fitness First’s newest club located at The Gardens, Mid Valley.
The two believe that good fitness is not only essential for a healthy body, but also a healthy mind. Their plan to incorporate more sports activities into the lives of Malaysians will improve both, as well as building a stronger community. Both leaders finalised their partnership at a signing ceremony after an enlightening Q&A.
Khairy of FITMALAYSIA states, “We have the tendency to take our good health for granted and only decide to make lifestyles chances when it’s at a critical stage. We hope that through our partnership with Fitness First, we can encourage Malaysians to not only start exercising, but to also encourage their families and friends to start taking steps to live healthy lifestyles.”
Their goal is to not just stop at making Malaysians fitter and healthier, but also motivating them to take up more sports activities. With the help of FITMALAYSIA Hotspots, Malaysians will have easy access to new and customised exercise programmes, along with highly qualified fitness trainers who will share their expertise. The exercise programmes will focus on three global streams, H.I.I.T, Power, and Strength, and will combine a calculated balance of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, focusing less on machines and more on the body’s natural movements. On the 30th of May, everyone is welcomed to join at the Fitness Zones at the FITMALAYSIA Activation Programme in Johor.
