Teens are freaking out over Snapchat’s new update that has quietly made everyone’s Best Friends list private.
If you aren’t on Snapchat, the Best Friends feature shows a list of people a user interacts with most frequently on the app. Anyone in a user’s Snapchat contacts could view who they were sending the most snaps to. With this new upgrade, the lists have become private and users now cannot view anyone else’s Best Friends list.
Snapchat also introduced an innovative new feature called Discover in the latest version of the app. It allows users to stay updated with the latest news by checking out the Snapchat Stories from their preferred media brands.
The design of Snapchat is now cleaner and neater, but judging from the outraged tweets, most users are most upset about the Best Friends lists.
As for Twitter, users can now send group Direct Messages (DMs). Now, users can communicate with more than one person at a time.
You will be able to start a group chat with any of your followers, and those individuals don’t have to follow each other to join in the chat. You’ll receive notifications when you’ve been added to a group Direct Messages discussion. Users can also share links with any Twitter user via a direct message.
Aside from that, on the iOS and Android apps, users will be able to capture, edit and share videos directly from the Twitter app itself. The videos can be 30 seconds long and they appear as thumbnails within the timeline. The videos will play when they are tapped on. iOS users will be able to import videos from their camera roll, but Android users would have to wait a little bit longer for that feature to be added.
