Christmas isn’t called the season of giving without reason so what better way to celebrate the Yuletide than to help those who are less fortunate? Energizing is allocating over RM20,000 in educational and fun battery-powered toys that have been proven to aid children in their confidence and social skills as well as their cognitive development and motor skills.

The dancing 'mob' of Mr Energizers get the children dancing along to the beat

From now till 28 December, Energizer wants you to donate or purchase as many Energizer batteries to power up these toys for underprivileged children and children with Down Syndrome from Kiwanis Malaysia.

The Malaysian public are encouraged to donate Energizer batteries to power up toys donated by Energizer

Here’s what you can do to help spread #positivenergy to the children of Kiwanis.

1. Donate and buy Energizer Max batteries at one of the participating roadshow venues or at the Energizer power of Giving road show at 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Ground Floor, Highstreet). Visit www.energizer.com.my/highlights/powerofgiving for further details.

2. Repurpose pre-loved battery operated devices

Have old battery-operated toys you don’t want or need anymore? Drop them off with Mr Energizer or at the Power of Giving event space in 1 Utama from now till 28 December.

3. Power up the virtual Energizer Power of Giving Battery with #positivenergy

30 Turbo Twisters from Hamleys will be donated to the children of Kiwanis Malaysia to match the general public’s generosity of 1000 pledges. Energizer will donate the popular remote-controlled toy cars which will without a doubt be a hit with the kids!

How to make a pledge? All you have to do is post a photo of your good deed (it can be anything at all!) and use the hashtag #positivenergy on your Instagram. You can also make a pledge on the Energizer Malaysia Facebook page. Pledges can be done until Sunday, 28 December.

The VIPs of the day - the children of Kiwanis Malaysia - show off their new battery operated Christmas presents

Energizer has embarked on a road-show at 250 locations in and around Malaysia, which will be ongoing until 28 December 2014, to raise awareness about its Power of Giving campaign.
