Shut up and take our money, right now!
StoreDot, an Israeli company, claims it has developed a new technology allowing mobile phones to be fully charged in just 30 seconds.
The new battery utilizes nano-technology to store higher charges more efficiently.
The batteries work using “nanodots,” which are bio-organic peptide molecules. The molecules help the battery absorb and retain energy at a way higher rate than normal.
As of now, the batteries are too big to work with mobile phones, but the company is convinced that a slim battery will be commercially available by 2016.
The new batteries could be a little more pricey, but it’s a fitting price for an efficient, full day’s charge from a battery that will last for approximately three years.
This same technology could also be applied to charge electric car batteries in a matter of minutes.
This is indeed a very big breakthrough!
