Everybody has been asking me about Celebrity Fitness’ DARE Your Friend challenge results. To answer all your questions, nope, I didn’t win and that’s okay because in life, winning isn’t everything, right?
Okay, I’m lying to myself. I really wanted to win the Grand Prize which was a trip to Bali! 🙁
Last Thursday, Celebrity Fitness hosted the Celebrity Night Out event at Lust Club KL in Changkat Bukit Bintang. The Celebrity Night Out event was a special event for the members of Celebrity Fitness Malaysia gym, friends of the members, and also guests to mingle and have fun. Most importantly, the highlight of the event was of course, to reveal the winner of the “DARE Your Friend” challenge.
For the past 3 – 4 months, 11 contestants were judged based on several criteria including percentage of weight loss or weight gain, Body Mass Index (BMI), General Body Condition, Progress Evaluation, and public votes.
Celebrity Fitness’ 5-Star Makeover was an exclusive 105-day personal training program that incorporates fitness, nutrition, and beauty. Participants were each paired with a qualified personal trainer who implemented fun and progressively challenging workouts. To complete the participants’ fitness regimes, a 28-day weight management plan and nutrition guide aptly called, “Be Lean for Life” was included where by recommended meal times, portions and food types, and easy-to-make recipes will be introduced to deliver maximum nutrients and results.
The event kicked off with dance performances from Celebrity Fitness dance instructors Elva and Baby G.
It was then followed by a fashion show for Singaporean casual wear brand New Urban Male featuring professional models from Amber Chia’s Academy and also, yours truly 😀
Then came the announcement of the winners! My team mate, David Jalleh, won 😀 I’m super proud of him as, believe it or not, he successfully lost a whopping 20 kilos! David walked away with Grand Prizes sponsored by TMC Medi Clinic worth RM15,000 and a trip to Bali sponsored by Asia Web Direct & Magani Hotels. The 1st runner-up was mother-of-2 Carment while the 2nd runner-up was Shreen Joy.
The event also saw many guests walking away with lucky draw prizes sponsored by adidas Malaysia, Fiqs, Sony Malaysia, Horleys, Plantronics, Carlo Rino, and New Urban Male.
Thank you, Celebrity Fitness Malaysia for all the opportunities that were given to me throughout the past 4 months. It has indeed been an amazing and emotional journey for me. With utmost sincerity, I would say that yes, this journey wasn’t all about just winning the Grand Prize. On top of getting my 21-year-old beauty pageant body back, I’ve also seen how much support my family, friends, colleagues, and clients have given me, which kept me going. I’ve also discovered a level of self-discipline and focus I never thought I had. The best part of it all was fighting a battle against my inner demons and emerging a victor!
I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2014 🙂
