Recent One FC champ, Peter Hugh Davis is not only a champion in the cage, as this time it proves he’s winning big too as Timberland’s latest Mark Maker alongside former MTV host, Utt. Why is Peter Davis Timberland’s Mark Maker? In the world of mixed martial arts, Peter is king.

With three ONE FC wins under his belt, the Cage Fighting Championship (CFC) champ inspires people to go leave their comfort zones and challenge their abilities in the art of mixed martial arts. Thanks to Peter, an encouraging increase in number of Malaysians who have joined martial arts in a bid to get fit!

We took the opportunity to ask the crowd’s favourite a few questions:

Why did you choose MMA out of all sports?
Actually I enjoy mountain biking alot, but MMA kinda called me out these past few years. I started  to teach bigger and bigger classes of students and I felt that I needed to update my skill set and step into the cage to find out what really works!
What has been your most rewarding moment as an MMA fighter?
Possibly my come back win against Alla Mazloum. I had lost a couple of fights back to back and was desperate to get a win. Things weren’t looking too good in the first round but Malaysia jumped on my back.. And then I jumped on his and choked him out! The crowd went wild and the rest is history. (Laughs)
If you couldn’t get into MMA, what other sport would it have been?
I really like mountain biking, I’d like to think I might have done pretty good at some downhill off road races, but currently I’m quite into motorsports.. But I would need to improve vastly before I would be at a good enough level to compete… at, maybe say drifting!
Tell us something we don’t know about yourself?
I like to get my hands dirty and try to fix old broken stuff, mainly mechanical or electrical items and on occasions the car. Sometimes it’s not quite as easy as I had hoped and I have to call in the pro’s, but at least I’ll give it a go!
Do you think it’s important for the youth of Malaysia to get more involved in sports? Especially because we’ve become a culture of shopping and smartphones.
Yes it’s very important to get into sports,  but it would be great if it’s something you have an interest in or you won’t bother keeping it up.. And besides, it will give you something more interesting to post on Facebook and Instagram than just food snaps alone (laughs) … Then you can shop for all of the nessesary accessories to go along with your chosen sport, so you can still go shopping. Doing sports make you feel good and when the body is in shape it helps your mind too. Everyone should do a little, or alot if they can.
